'Finish This' Week 25

1- I have a quarter to use a pay phone, I call... my husband because obviously I am without my cell phone and somewhere that I should not be. Where is a pay phone...Oh yes, somewhere you don't want to be!  (Keep that cell phone charged ladies & with you!)

2- I found $25 in my pocket, I buy... most likely Happy Meals, 1/2 and 1/2 teas and Sonic slushies randomly throughout the week for my girls and I. $25 can go a long way for us!

3- I have 25 minutes to watch anything on TV, I turn on... Fox News! 25 minutes is not long enough for me to enjoy one of my many shows, so I suppose I would turn on Fox News and get a brief update of the day's happenings.

4- A meal I can prepare, from start to finish in 25 minutes of less is...hot dogs and macaroni and cheese!

I am totally trying this!!!!

5- At the age of 25, I wish I had known... how important it was to exercise after having kids and not eat so much junk! Who knew that the pounds & flub stuck like peanut butter and were not so easy to fall off?

6- If I drove 25 miles (direction) from my house, I'd be in... New Braunfels, Texas. It is a sizable Texan German community. The great thing about New Braunfels is that Gruene Historical District is found here and it's amazing. So amazing I wrote a post about it!

  2. Chances are, the pay phone is out of order. :) But I would call my husband, too.

  3. I simply must try that mac-n-cheese hot dog! (Not me but my hubs and the grands) It is for sure that I would call my husband if I was a damsel in distress!

  4. I've actually been to Gruene, Texas and ate at the Grist Mill and drank some Texas wine while dipping my toes in the river beside a bunch of tooooooo-bers. It was the most wonderful afternoon. Thanks for joining the link up (this week and every week) and good luck in the giveaway too!

    Hugs,
    Nicole

  5. Hi Aimee! I had my child very young, so I guess I assumed it would fall off as quickly as it came on. (ask me how that worked out LOL!!) In today's world I'd probably be afraid to put that phone up to my ear! yikes!

  6. Having 25 minutes to do something, what's that ;)? Any time I actually have a spare moment (generally "free time" gets eaten up by chores my toddler wouldn't let me do while he was awake), I always curl up on the couch with a book. I completely loathe commercials, so we actually don't even have cable in our home! I love it. I found there was nothing to watch even when we had it, so all we'd do is channel surf for a few hours, which drove me bonkers!

  7. These are some fun questions! I agree that pay phones are usually in places I don't care to be. ;)
Those mac n cheese hotdogs look like something I would have loved as a kid; I used to cut up hot dogs in a bowl of macaroni, but I've never tried it like that!

  8. Fox News is on at my job all day long, so I watch those shows everyday. And wow, pay phones still are around?

  9. This is a fun thread. I like the age 25 you realized... It was more like age 35 until I realize the same thing! Enjoyed my visit!

  10. Hi Aimee! I couldn't respond to you via email, so I figured I'd leave a comment :) so the Vanilla Bean Frap does NOT come with caffeine, but you can add shots in (and have them blend it in, not just pour it in). There is a Cafe Vanilla Frap, but that's a coffee base instead of a cream base. Let me know if you try it—I'm addicted :)

  17. "If I drove 25 miles from my house, I'd be in... New Braunfels, Texas." And then you would go to Schlitterbahn and my kid would be sooooo jealous.
