3- I feel small when... I am in a room full of people that I do not know. I have never been the type of person to be able to walk up to a random group of people in a room and invite myself into their conversation.. my husband on the other hand can and he does not understand how I can't.
4- I feel big when... I have accomplished a task that I thought I would never have dreamed possible. For example, when I became a SAHM, I felt the need to work so I opened my own home business and have watched it grow over the past 6 years! Who knew...

5- I feel indestructible when...I have survived a day! Not kidding... I am surrounded by kids all day that I sometimes surprise myself that my husband does not come home finding me hiding in a closet or rocking in the corner of the room with my thumb in my mouth. Just kidding, but no.. I'm not kidding. Care giving and parenting can be tough.
6- I feel stupid when...I have to call an IT company regarding my computer. Thankfully, however, Dell customer service and Apple are some of the best companies to call. They are patient and I can understand them; which is a huge plus.
7- I feel smart when... I hang up from the phone call with the IT company having accomplished the call and having fixed my problem! Oh ya...
Great list! I love looking back on lists like this and see how life has changed.
ReplyDelete"hate to get shot" BUWAHAHAHAHA I'm dying, but can TOTALLY relate. My mom thinks I have road rage, but I like to think of it as NOT being an a$$hole on the roadway. I mean, I've got a heavy foot and I don't like to be stuck behind slower drivers, but don't be a CHODE and disrespectful on the roads either. Drives me nuts. When I've got Kamden in the car, of course, I don't drive as fast but I'm on high alert for idiots, especially on the interstates where folks like to move four lanes in order to make an exit 0.0032 miles ahead. My blood pressure is rising just responding to this, I need to stop. HA! Thanks for joining the link up. XO, Nicole
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I can totally relate to the driving one. haha
ReplyDeleteThe older I get the more I notice that people are more rude on the roads! I had a lady tail gating me one morning on my way to work. Like you, I was going about 5 mph OVER the speed limit. I catch her in my rear view mirror having a fit back there. Her arms were flying all over the place, beating her steering wheel. I was like "wow". LOL! I'll definitely be checking out your boutique! Another reason I love connecting with other bloggers! You discover new things! :-)
ReplyDeleteSuccessfully getting customer support from ANYONE makes me feel smart! Actually, when I finally get to talk to a human, I feel smart, haha! Great list! :)
ReplyDeleteI can relate to the driving one!! Yesterday, I was passing a truck, I'm going 5 over the speed limit already and this big truck comes up right on my rear and flashes their lights for me to move over. First of all... There's a truck to my right, I can't move over!! Secondly, back off buddy!! I yelled a bunch of stuff at him and I'm sure my 6 month old thought I was loosing it, but I sure took my sweet time passing that truck! Do they really think being rude is going to get me out of the way faster?!?
ReplyDeleteThe worst with calling an IT company (or in my case when I have to go into an automobile repair shop alone) and I don't know what to call something so inevitably I call something a "doo-hickey" or "thing-a-ma-bob" and sound like a fool.
I think we marry, quite often, those that are opposite of us so we can balance each other - I am the same way as you and my husband is the same way as your husband. I think its a nice balance and allows me to get to know people with just being on the side lines sometimes.
ReplyDeleteNumber one...that is sooooo me!! I "speed" when I go 5 miles over and people are passing me right and left! So frustrating! And no, I don't want to get shot either! LOL
ReplyDeleteGosh, computers make me feel stupid too. Right after I bought my first laptop I couldn't get it out of hibernate. Took it to the Geek Squad guy. He didn't say a word, the man simply held the power button down about 10 seconds never smiling. Handed it back to me and...Yep, felt pretty stupid.
ReplyDeleteHa ha that reminds me of when my cable box stopped working and the cable guy came and did the same thing!
ReplyDeleteHa! We could never be on the same road together driving--it wouldn't be good for our friendship ;) I feel ya on # 3, I'm the same way but you need to come attend some of these homeschool events with me-- these mamas make you start a convo. If not you're sitting there biting your nails tills someone comes up to you. Rudeness
ReplyDeleteLucky for me, my husband is a total computer person, so I don't have to call those IT numbers too often. I don't miss those phone calls at all!!
ReplyDeleteYES, you are lucky.. I currently have a daycare dad that is a computer expert.. he really helped me a while ago.. I wanted to pull my hair out!
DeleteI love these! I keep wanting to join in but life happens ugh!! So much fun reading your stuff! I flip the bird at people when my kid is in the car, it freaks me out. San Antonio Drivers be crazy.
ReplyDeleteIt makes for an easy filler post ;-)
