Not only was it fun but it was a life saver, so I decided to continue the tradition for the summer of 2014. My girls and I made a video to show you how to make a Summer Bucket List. We hope you enjoy it.
Like I said in the video, you may come up with more ideas than what you will end up doing, but it is fun to get creative and think of ideas. Try to come up with non monetary ideas as well, such as doing good deeds, volunteering, or/ and having outside time; possibly a scavenger hunt.
If your kids would like to have their individual Bucket List then take a look at the Teaching Heart blog. This site has a cute printable that allows your kids to answer specific summer related questions.
So grab a poster board, some bright pens and gather around and start coming up with a summer plan. Have fun!
What a great idea! I know from year after year of unaccomplished goals that this could be a huge help and keep us from getting too lazy!
ReplyDeletethanks,
MItch
I love lists! I get so much done when I make one.. Cute idea.
ReplyDeleteI love your Vlogs! I'm trying to get up the courage to start vlogging. Is is hard, and how much editing does it require? I'm not a techie so I'm a little intimidated by the idea.
ReplyDeleteThank you.. You know.. I just do it.. I don't put much thought (obviously) behind it... I try to think about my hair and put a bit of make up on but that is it... Very little editing... At times I have to do a retake or two but that is because I did not clear out the videos off my camera that my girls took. Practice makes perfect... I def need to invest in a tripod but I am so CHEAP!
DeleteWhat a great video! We are definitely going to have to make a bucket list for summer!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! I made a summer bucket list then life got in the way last summer so we didnt even get close but that wont stop me from making one again.

ReplyDeleteI normally keep a list on my phone and add or remove things as needed/wanted. We have a short summer this year sadly because we get out late due to all the snow days we had and then we go back a week earlier this year for the first time. It makes me sad.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea! I don't have kids, but I might do this for myself and my husband.
ReplyDeleteA Summer Bucket list is a GREAT idea - I work full-time, but I know we could fit some stuff in..plus my Mom would probably love doing this with my kids while I am at work. Thanks for the idea!
ReplyDeleteThis would be great for my husband and I. Our son could contribute, but I don't think he'd quite get it yet. We, however, always have great plans and it's a matter of DOING them. :)
ReplyDeleteA Summer Bucket List is such a great idea! I love that you compile ideas ahead of time so you have something to source in those moments of blank brain "What do we do today?" Definitely will be doing this.

ReplyDeleteIs it odd that I don't have a huge bucket list? Mine is pretty short.

ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea! Thanks for sharing, we could definitely benefit from this.
