The 7 pound burrito, also known as the Extreme Grizzly Burrito, is a big tortilla stuffed with carna guisada, refried beans, cheese, enchilada sauce, queso, guacamole, sour cream and red tortillas. The burrito costs around $25 and if you can finish the challenge in an hour, you get it for free!
Before we arrived at Marianito's Extreme Tex Mex Grill it was decided that the 4 Fauci adults would order the 7 Pound Burrito and eat it as a family. We had no interest in any of us being in the competition but we wanted to get our picture next to it and then eat it so we could say we did. The burrito was huge! Like 'how can anyone finish this in an hour' huge? Well, I found a local on YouTube that did and she is a chick!
Our family did not made a huge dent in the burrito while we were at the restaurant but for a family the value of the burrito was great! This burrito, which tasted great, made a total of 8 - 9 total servings.
Have you or your family or friends ever done a food challenge? If so, what? If you have not done one, what food challenge would you want to take on?

Oh man, that looks awesome! We are BIG fans of Mexican food in our house, so we would devour that thing!
ReplyDeleteThat is one BIG Burrito! Looks yummy and at least your family had a dinner adventure. I will have to check that restaurant out if we make it San Antonio.
ReplyDeleteThat thing is HUGE! Oh my word! Looks like fun though. My husband would probably have to try if something like that was around here! We've never tried a good challenge but I'd love to one day!
ReplyDeleteWow! That's one big burrito! I dint eat it but it looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! That is one huge burrito. I think maybe my son could handle that, LOL. I will have to ask him. No, I would not do a food challenge. I get sick on things like that.
ReplyDeleteOmgoodness!!! That burrito! Once again, I need to this place to my must-try travel list! The food looks amazing!!! There are few Tex-Mex places that I like, but this one I must try! My husband would try to take on the challenge—and he'll be on his own!

ReplyDeleteI once did an ice-cream challenge with a friend. We were so ill afterward. LOL. That burrito is huge!
ReplyDeleteI can imagine how you felt! That over dairy yuck.. let me just go ahead and vomit.. feeling.
Deletelooks yummy! I probably wouldn't be able to participate in a challenge, though, because I like to take my time. I'd probably be disqualified for not finishing it in a certain amount of time lol

ReplyDeleteWe have never done a food challenge before. That burrito is HUGE! It looks so good.
ReplyDeleteNo we haven't done a food challenge. Way too much food, even if it looks delicious. LOL
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful value! When we travel, we always try to see if "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives" or "The Best Thing I Ever Ate" filmed nearby so we can try them out. We have yet to do a food challenge though. :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to go to San Antonio this Summer just for the food. I can just taste the Tex Mex now!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG! That was Huge. I've never done one, but I love to watch others do them. Lol! I probably could be talked into doing an Ice cream or cookie one.
ReplyDeleteThat's incredible! I have no idea how one person can eat anything that weighs seven pounds!
ReplyDeleteMan, you hear "7 Pound Burrito" and you know it sounds big, but then when you see the pictures...OMG! There are no words!
ReplyDeleteI would have liked to give this a try back in college when I could eat insane amounts of food; now, I would definitely have to split it with several people. :)
We love Mexican food. My 2 year old grandson loves it, too! I bet my family could polish that bad boy off. :) Now I'm hungry and I've already had lunch - not nearly as good as that burrito looks.
ReplyDeleteI would have never imagined that a 7 pound burrito was THATTTTTT big! Mann, oh man! I'd love to take a run and go at that. Mmmm!
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought 7lb burrito?! Then I realized it was for sharing lol I would love the eat there sometime.
ReplyDeleteI would love to do a contest like this, because sometimes this girl can eat. I don't think I could do this burrito, no matter how much I love Mexican food, but I'd be up for a pizza challenge.

ReplyDeleteThat is insanely big! I don't think I'd ever try to eat the whole thing myself :P
